Rack Systems That Survive Anything

The MAGNUS shelving system uses a patented system of stacking individual sheets of metal and is unique in Europe.

The price is absolutely balanced by the quality and unrivalled, extremely long service life of decades. The solution is applicable for storage of any material supplied in sheets (glass, wood, plywood, plastic, etc.)

What problems will the MAGNUS rack solve?

Currently, most companies do not have a good solution for storing leftover sheets of materials. Residual boards are stored leaning against walls or building structures, or in loose columns of residual materials separated by wooden or plastic liners. In the better case, some types of racking are used for vertical storage of residual boards with manual stacking. This method of storage presents a number of problems.

Frequent damage to residual sheets – scratching, bending, or breaking for materials that cannot be bent
Risk of injury – handling of residual sheets is not safe if sheets or other material are loose, it is very easy to be injured by edges of sheets or other material
Time loss – handling takes a long time, usually the rest of the material lying underneath the stored residual sheets needs to be processed
Cluttered storage – production usually has a very poor to chaotic overview of residual material sheets
Physical demands – handling the residual boards is physically very difficult and exhausting

As a result, this system of residual plate storage leads to frequent damage to stored residual plates and to the impossibility of their further use in production. The residual boards are then disposed of as waste. According to our company's experience, 2-3% of the purchased material in the case of sheet metal is depreciated in this way and the total financial losses amount to hundreds of thousands to millions of crowns per year, depending on the size of the company.

The MAGNUS shelf offers several major advantages

Based on the above mentioned shortcomings and difficulties with the storage of residual sheets, our company has developed an innovative rack for the storage of residual sheet material, primarily sheet metal. However, the rack is suitable for storing any material supplied in sheets - glass, plastic, plywood, precious woods, etc. The design solution is registered as patent No. 308428.

Elimination of damage to residual boards – thanks to the runners, the risk of damage from scratching, bending or breaking is almost eliminated when storing or removing material
Elimination of risk of injury – handling of residual sheets is very safe and easy, the risk of injury from edges of stored residual sheets or other material is eliminated
Handiling speed – handling is very fast and efficient
Overview of stored boards – the use of the rack gives a perfect overview of stored material residues
Ease of handling – thanks to the castors and the ability to store and retrieve residual boards using a forklift, handling is very easy and light, without the need for heavy manual work
The rack has a high capacity – 20 storage cells with a load capacity of 360 kg - 720 kg and a total load capacity of 7200-14400 kg depending on the type of rack
Versatility of use – the rack is applicable for whole or residual steel plate sheets up to 25 mm thick depending on the type of rack and with sheet sizes 1000×1000 mm to 3000×1500 mm, which is a common thickness range for companies processing sheet metal by punching or laser cutting, the maximum thickness of the stored materials is 30 mm
Robustness and durability of construction – the rack is designed to achieve a high durability of several decades, very robust and durable

Investment pays off

As practical experience with the operation of the MAGNUS rack has shown, thanks to the savings in material, handling time and increased work safety, the investment in the acquisition of the rack can be recovered relatively quickly.

The TEXO modular pallet rack is used for storing pallets

The pallets can be stored from 1200x800 mm up to 3900x1200 mm and consist of four basic modules that can be freely combined to create the desired rack configuration. The TEXO modular pallet rack has also been designed for the storage of sheet metal bales in sizes 2000x1000 mm to 4000x2000 mm and with a load capacity of 3000 kg per storage cell. The price is perfectly balanced by robustness, quality and an unrivalled, extremely long service life of decades.

Storage racks for pallet goods with demountable construction

There is a plethora of types of pallet racking available on the market today from many European manufacturers. The common feature of these racks is usually the construction of the columns and horizontal beams from thin sheet metal, very complexly profiled by bending. The horizontal beams are usually attached to the columns by a complex locking system to ensure that the rack can be dismantled. This construction brings several very important advantages - high static load capacity, low weight, relatively favourable price per storage cell.

Disadvantages of racks made of thin sheet metal

However, the construction of thin sheet metal also has several significant disadvantages. First of all, the low resistance of the rack in case of lateral stress, e.g. It is easy to damage the rack columns in accidental collisions with forklift trucks, relatively easy to damage the horizontal beams in case of accidental overloading of the beam, easy to damage the horizontal beams when placing goods in the storage cell, when the forklift operator does not estimate the correct height of the pallet with goods and the pallet hits the horizontal beam. Very often a warning sign "Out of service, do not use" can be seen on the storage cells of these types of racks. The horizontal beams then need to be replaced, and if the posts are damaged, a very complicated repair of the entire rack is required.

TEXO - modular pallet rack as a result of our many years of experience

Our company also initially used types of racks made of sheet metal. However, the many damages and frequent repairs of the racks led us to develop our own racking system, which has been in practical use for many years. The basic design requirement was primarily a high load capacity of the racks and even more important was the high durability of the racks in practical operation. According to our many years of experience, collisions between forklift trucks and racks cannot be prevented, especially in companies with limited storage space. The result of our development was the birth of the TEXO modular pallet rack.

The GRADUS racking system is a series of very compact racks for storing 6000 mm or 3000 mm long profiles and their residues.

GRADUS shelves are characterised by their ability to withstand high loads and their unrivalled durability of decades. If you are looking for a long-lasting and almost indestructible solution, you have come to the right place here too.

There are a large number of types of profile storage racks on the market today from many European manufacturers. The common feature of these racks is usually the use of thinner profiles or thin sheet metal profiles and the resulting low load capacity of the rack per tier or the use of thick I-profiles, with high load capacity and high structural height.

Disadvantages of competitive racks

The construction of thin sheet metal has several significant disadvantages. First of all, the low resistance of the rack in case of lateral stresses, e.g. It is also relatively easy to damage the horizontal brackets if the brackets are accidentally overloaded, and it is easy to damage the brackets when the forklift operator does not estimate the correct height of the forklift and the profiles hit the horizontal brackets. Very often a warning sign "Out of service, do not use" can be seen on the storage cells of these types of racks. The horizontal brackets then need to be replaced and if the posts are damaged, a very complicated repair of the entire rack is required.

Development of custom racks

The above shortcomings have led our company to develop our own types of cantilever racks for profile storage, which have been in practical use for many years. The basic design requirement was primarily high load capacity of the racks and even more importantly high durability of the racks in practical operation. According to our many years of experience, collisions between forklift trucks and racks cannot be prevented, especially in companies with limited storage space. As a result of our development, GRADUS racks were born.

Small family of GRADUS shelves

GRADUS racks are used for storing profiles from 500 mm to 6000 mm in length. The small family consists of GRADUS 3000 and GRADUS 6000 racks according to the required length of the stored profiles. The colour design of the racks is possible according to the customer's requirements based on the RAL colour chart. The rack is delivered assembled ready for final placement in the warehouse.
